Marco Holt – Rising Star in British Youth Motorcycle Racing

Born and raised in Britain, Marco Holt was an emerging talent in the world of youth motorcycle racing, rapidly gaining recognition for his skill, speed, and dedication. His passion for racing began at a young age, and his commitment to the sport is evident through his numerous successes on the track.

Early Beginnings

Marco began his racing journey at the age of 6 in the Minimoto classes, a popular entry point for young riders. His early involvement in this foundational category—hosted by FAB-Racing—allowed him to develop essential racing skills, gain valuable track experience, and build the confidence needed to progress through the ranks of British youth motorsport.

2020 – First Win & AC40 Rookies

Marco celebrated a key milestone in 2020 by securing his first race win at Rowrah Kart Circuit, a well-known venue for young talent in the UK. He soon attracted widespread attention during his time in the AC40 Rookies class, part of the FAB-Racing Championship, where he consistently impressed with his natural talent and racecraft.

2021 – MiniGP50 Vice Champion

Building on his early success, Marco stepped up to the MiniGP50 class—a key category in the FAB-Racing Championship designed for young riders progressing to elite levels. In 2021, he finished the season as Vice Champion, a testament to his rapid adaptation and technical ability.

He quickly established himself as a serious competitor, claiming a dominant victory in Race 1 of the season and delivering strong performances throughout the year. His consistent podium finishes and race wins earned him the championship lead. One of his standout achievements was setting a lap record of 42.841 seconds at Lydd Circuit on wet tyres in dry conditions, and becoming the 50cc Lord of Lydden, where he recorded the first-ever 50mph lap, showcasing his exceptional speed and control.

2022 – Breakthrough in Spain

In 2022, Marco raced in the prestigious Cuna de Campeones series in Spain, one of Europe’s top talent development programs. He made history by becoming the youngest-ever Moto5 race winner, claiming three victories and six podiums over the season—further cementing his reputation as one of the most exciting young prospects in European motorcycle racing.

2023 – Historic Double Champion

Marco’s 2023 season was one for the history books. Competing in both the MiniGP50 and MiniGP70 classes, he delivered a dominant campaign.

In the MiniGP70 class, Marco set an incredible five lap records and went on to win the FAB-Racing British MiniGP70 Championship. This triumph, combined with his MiniGP50 title, made Marco one of only two riders in the 20-year history of FAB-Racing to win both the MiniGP50 and MiniGP70 British Championships in the same year—a rare and remarkable achievement that solidified his place among the UK’s elite youth riders.

2024 – International Recognition

In 2024, Marco continued his ascent, competing in several prestigious championships and proving his competitiveness on both national and international stages. He secured 3rd place overall in the BMB British Mini Bikes Championshipand raced in the Promo 3 Mirracing Cup for the Fineworks Mirracing Team, finishing 6th overall and earning the distinction of being the top-placed international rider.

A highlight of his season came during a spectacular race in which, after starting 18th on the grid, Marco charged through the field to take the lead and finished in 2nd place in a dramatic photo finish – a performance that showcased his fearless overtaking, strategic awareness, and tenacity under pressure.
